FAQ
These answers describe the current repository and pre-launch state. Contract state will remain authoritative after deployment.
#What is WeedSwap?
WeedSwap uses Pons as its core onchain market infrastructure on Robinhood Chain. Pons provides the market layer. WeedSwap adds farming, WEED rewards, vaults, and referral incentives on top.
#Is WeedSwap live?
No. WeedSwap is in pre-launch, its protocol contracts are not deployed, and public transaction actions are disabled. No mainnet transaction has been broadcast from this repository.
#What is WEED?
WEED is the WeedSwap reward token. Its contract creates a fixed 420,000,000 WEED supply at genesis and has no later mint function.
#How do I earn WEED?
After deployment, users can stake a supported asset in an active farm or a funded Greenhouse. Rewards depend on contract state, stake, time, pool weight, and remaining budget. There is no active way to earn WEED today.
#What can I stake?
A WeedChef farm accepts its configured ERC-20 staking token, such as a WeedSwap vault share or WEED. Other eligible market positions may use a separate incentive contract. Always match the exact deployed position or token configuration.
#What is a harvest lockup?
It is a per-pool timer that limits how often accrued WEED can be paid. Reward accounting can continue while the timer is closed, with unsettled amounts tracked as locked rewards.
#Can I withdraw before I can harvest?
The WeedChef contract allows principal withdrawal even when the harvest timer is closed. A normal withdrawal can leave reward in locked accounting. Emergency Withdraw returns principal but forfeits stored locked rewards and any unsettled pending base rewards accrued since the last settlement.
#What is the deposit fee?
It is a pool-specific percentage of staking tokens actually received at deposit. The contract cap is 4%, but each farm can use a lower value, including 0%. A configured future fee is not a fee currently being charged.
#How do referrals work?
An invitee can bind one direct referrer. When that referrer has a nonzero tier, a bound invitee's settled base reward can pay a commission and a temporary invitee boost from the fixed referral reserve. Minimum stake and farming duration affect active-referral tier counting only. They do not gate payouts for a bound invitee's settled base reward. There are no commissions on commissions.
#Are referral rewards unlimited?
No. The reserve, per-payout amounts, lifetime category amounts, commission rate, and boost rate are capped. When the referral reserve is exhausted, extras stop while base farming rewards remain independent.
#What is the difference between a self-managed position and a WeedSwap vault?
A self-managed position remains under your control until you stake it in a compatible WeedSwap incentive. A WeedSwap vault manages an underlying market position and gives you fungible shares. The vault adds custody and share-accounting risk. Final Pons position types will be documented before launch.
#Who controls the contracts?
The source separates timelocked configuration roles from narrow guardian pause roles. Final role-holder addresses and timelock settings are not configured, so no current party is presented as an active WeedSwap administrator.
#Is WeedSwap audited?
No independent audit has been completed. The repository includes automated tests and a static-analysis triage, but those are not substitutes for independent review.
#Where can I find the contract addresses?
The Contracts page will publish verified WeedSwap addresses after deployment. It currently says Awaiting deployment and does not use zero, sample, or local addresses as official values.
#Why are all values currently zero?
No WeedSwap deployment is connected, so there is no real APR, TVL, emission, deposit, earned reward, harvest, referral, or protocol liquidity value. The interface keeps those values zero or blank instead of showing projections or demo activity.
#What risks should I understand?
Understand smart-contract, token, approval, key, price, slippage, impermanent-loss, concentrated-liquidity, vault-custody, referral-reserve, RPC, and indexer risks. Only use an amount you can afford to lose after verified deployment and review.
