Glossary
Use these definitions to read farm cards and documentation without treating estimates as guarantees.
#APR
Annual percentage rate. A simple annualized estimate that does not assume compounding and can change with prices, emissions, pool weights, and deposited value.
#APY
Annual percentage yield. An annualized estimate that assumes a compounding schedule; it is not guaranteed and can be misleading when inputs change.
#Allocation points
Relative weights used to divide active base farming emissions between pools. They are not token balances or an APR by themselves.
#Deposit fee
A pool-specific percentage taken from staking tokens actually received when entering a WeedChef farm. Credited stake excludes the fee.
#Earned
A reward amount accounted to a position, including amounts that may still be waiting for a harvest timer. It is distinct from already harvested WEED.
#Emission
The amount of base WEED released over time under the controller schedule, capped by the remaining fixed farming budget.
#Farm
A reward pool where users deposit one supported staking asset and receive a relative share of WEED emissions.
#Garden
A finite, pre-funded program where users stake one token and earn a different partner reward token.
#Greenhouse
A finite, pre-funded single-token staking program intended to distribute WEED over a defined time window.
#Harvest
The action that settles and transfers eligible WEED rewards after the relevant farm timer opens.
#Harvest lockup
A pool timer that limits reward payout frequency while allowing reward accounting and principal withdrawal to remain separate.
#Impermanent loss
The value difference between providing liquidity and simply holding the same starting assets as their relative price changes.
#LP
Liquidity provider or liquidity position. In Uniswap v3, liquidity is represented by an NFT for a chosen price range.
#NFT position
A unique Uniswap v3 token that records a pair, fee tier, tick range, liquidity, and fee-accounting state.
#Range
The lower and upper price bounds where a concentrated-liquidity position is active and can earn trading fees.
#Referral reserve
The separate fixed WEED budget that pays one-level commissions and temporary invitee boosts until its caps or balance are reached.
#Slippage
The difference between an expected price or token amount and execution. Minimum outputs and maximum tolerance can bound an accepted transaction.
#Staked
The credited amount of a supported asset held by a reward contract for an account. It may differ from the requested deposit after fees or token behavior.
#Tick
A discrete Uniswap v3 price boundary. Lower and upper ticks define where a position’s liquidity is active.
#TVL
Total value locked. A market-value estimate of assets deposited into a protocol or product, dependent on price and data sources.
#Uniswap v3
A concentrated-liquidity automated market maker where providers choose price ranges and fee tiers for individual NFT positions.
#Vault
A contract that holds an underlying v3 position and manages deposits and redemptions for fungible share holders.
#Vault share
An ERC-20 unit representing a proportional claim under WeedSwap vault accounting, rather than direct ownership of the underlying NFT.
#WEED
The fixed-supply WeedSwap reward token allocated at genesis to base farming, referral, and liquidity bootstrap vaults.
